West Ham's midfielder Valon Behrami has admitted that he is "disappointed" not to have made a move to Roma.
The Swiss star held talks with Roma - but the Italian club were unable to sell players to raise the funds.
Behrami said: "I am disappointed the deal failed to go through - that is for certain.
The 25-year-old admitted that he wanted to move to the Serie A team because his Italian partner Elena Bonzanni has not adapted to London.
"My daughter Sofia is now 18 months old, and it is not easy to bring a child up in London. Besides, Elena does not feel happy. She does not have a big circle of friends over there."
